When is our 2024 Mardi Gras Ball?

Where is it located?
Raising Canes’ River Center Exhibition Hall
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the parking garages adjacent to the Raising Cane’s River Center. It is $11 to park in the River Center garage, but payment is CARD ONLY. There is absolutely no parking in the front of the River Center. To find out more and pre-purchase online, visit the River Center website here.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open for guests at 6:15 pm. Please inform them to allow ample time to get downtown and park. Using a ride-share service is strongly encouraged.
Which entrance do I use the night of the ball?
Guests may enter at the Main or upstairs entrances. You will need a wristband to enter or a contact for your Krewe member or Corporate Sponsor’s table lead.

Will I get a physical ticket for the ball?
Wristbands will be delivered by board members and volunteers. For questions regarding wristbands or tables, please email kkdlmunn@gmail.com
Can my date wear a suit?
Unfortunately, no. Dress is strictly formal for this event. Floor length gowns for ladies and black tie for the gentlemen. Squires Formalwear on located at 7474 Corporate Blvd. offers a KKdL discount.
Do I have to bring a clear bag to the ball?
Clear bags are NOT required at this event, but please be aware that River Center security will check your bag upon entrance into the Exhibition Hall.
TABLE DECORATIONS
When can I decorate my table?
Friday, January 19th from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
Are there any rules regarding table decorations?
Table decorations may not exceed 24” in height.
When do I clean up my decorations?
The event ends promptly at midnight. Any and all items you wish to keep must be taken with you at that time. The Raising Cane’s River Center staff will begin clean up IMMEDIATELY following the event and any items left behind will be disposed of at that time.
Can I rent an upgraded chair for my table at this event?
Yes! We work exclusively with Doug Olinde Rentals in Baton Rouge for our chair upgrades. You may contact him directly to arrange chair rentals. Doug Olinde, LLC 225-769-7216.
Can I have flowers delivered as my centerpiece?
Yes, flowers may be delivered on Friday, January 19th between 9:00am-1:00pm. Please note they may not exceed 24” in height.
How do I order food for the night of the ball?
Food will be available to purchase online using our membership portal once open.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
Members and guests are allowed to bring in their own alcohol and beverages. Coolers must be able to fit under your table. No Styrofoam cooler allowed. You must bring your own corkscrew/bottle openers.
How can I order alcohol from the River Center?

Will there be a cash bar?
No.
Is this an adult only event?
NO! Minors are in attendance and the Krewe has a zero tolerance regarding consumption of alcohol by minors. Public intoxication and poor behavior of any kind will result in immediate removal with no re-admittance.
FOOD & ALCOHOL
What time does the Ball begin?
Tableau will begin promptly at 7:30pm. Anyone who arrives after 7:30 will be asked to remain in the lobby until conclusion of the presentation.
Will there be a parade?
YES!! At the conclusion of the Tableau and Second Line, the Parade will roll around the exhibition hall. Please keep parade route open and stay out of the path.
Is re-entry allowed?
No. Once you leave the River Center you will not be allowed back in, even with a wrist band.
Can I smoke in the hall?
There is no smoking allowed in the River Center but there is a designated smoking area outside.
Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located on the North Wall of the Exhibition Hall
Will photographers be on site to document the evening?
Yes, Aaron Hogan and Eyewander Photo will be in the lobby for formal pictures as well as inside for candids. All photos will be available for purchase through Eyewander. Visit the photo booth the night of the ball for more details.
Can I celebrate during the Tableau with confetti?
Unfortunately, no. The River Center has a policy against use of confetti cannons.
